QIP Accreditation Achieved for Mental Fitness @ Work program
We are proud to announce that our Mental Fitness @ Work program has gained accreditation with Suicide Prevention Australia. Suicide Prevention Australia is the national peak body for the suicide prevention sector and through collaboration and shared purpose work towards an ambition of a world without suicide. Reducing death my suicide is close to the hearts of so many of our team here at HSE Global.
SPA created Australia’s first suicide prevention accreditation program governed by the Standards for Quality improvement, these standards include lived experience involvement, community collaboration, diversity & inclusion, as well as knowledge sharing.
Mental Fitness @ Work is a market driven, customisable program that reduces stigma and empowers participants with a simple framework to create mentally fit workplaces. Mental Fitness @ Work moves beyond compliance into best practice by taking a proactive stance towards psychological health and safety. The program builds capability, creates common language, reduces stigma, and encourages daily investment in mental fitness @ work, thereby aiming to change lives and save lives.
This programme is suitable for employees who don’t wish to take on a formal peer support role (e.g., Mental Health First Aider, TEAM Talker) but would like increased awareness of mental health problems and increased confidence to assist a peer to access appropriate internal and external supports. The TEAM acronym is a simple and effective early intervention tool which empowers participants to initiate a mental health conversation at work.
We would like to extend our gratitude to SPA for their guidance and QIP for their direction and approachability throughout the application. A big shout out to the HSE Team behind the scenes in pulling together the required documentation and to all our passionate instructors that make a difference and save lives in delivering Mental Fitness @ Work.
